Instructions

1. Click on the link to the left to Open or Save the QCollector setup program. If you choose Open the setup program will start automatically. If you choose Save then you will have to go to the folder where you saved the setup file and open it to install the program.

2. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen to install QCollector. If you're re-installing or upgrading, install into the same folder you are already using so you can continue to use your portfolio files.

3. When the setup program is finished you can start QCollector by double-clicking on the QCollector icon on your Windows desktop.

Note: The same installer package is used for installing the free trial version and for licensed users installing for the first time or upgrading.

  • About the free trial version of QCollector For QCharts

    There is no time limit for evaluating the free trial version. The only restriction is that data collection is limited to ten built-in symbols. You can still create new portfolios with additional symbols but data collection will only be simulated for the non-trial symbols.

    New users should read the Getting Started With QCollector guide for to a quick outline of how to download data from Quote.com/QCharts.

    Unlock data collection for all symbols by purchasing a license key for QCollector.

  • Upgrading Or Re-Installing
    1. Click on the Download Now button at the top of the page to get the latest build of QCollector.
    2. Install the upgrade directly into the folder where QCollector is installed now, and QCollector will use your existing portfolio files. The default installation folder is C:\Program Files\QCollector 2 which has been used for all QCollector For QCharts 2.x installations.

Requirements

QCollector For QCharts runs on Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP. Downloading data requires a subscription to QCharts.
